Federalist Peace Forum: Final presentation and steps forward

Brussels, 2 and 3 March 2026

The Federalist Peace Forum was born from a meeting of young European federalists with Israeli and Palestinian peace activists. Launched after the tragic events of October 7, 2023, the initiative already lived through a seven-month journey, leading to the establishment of two partner groups: ‘Federalist Future Israel’ and ‘Democracy & Federalism Hub Palestine’. The pilot project has been financed by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and also received support from the Union of European Federalists.

Our goal is to create a space for dialogue, learning, and collaboration among young Israelis and Palestinians, encouraging them to design bold and shared ideas for peace, beyond the limits of the traditional two-state solution. Inspired by federalist principles that reject nationalism and promote lasting cooperation, the initiative aims to reignite hope in one of the world’s most painful conflicts and explore new, inclusive solutions. One major outcome so far has been the formulation of a common declaration. We have presented this document and our continued engagement already to lawmakers in the Italian Senate and the German Bundestag
