Call for trainers

Mobilise Europe = Engaging Together - Training series on inclusion, equality & diversity

Online & Brussels February 16-19

JEF Europe is looking for non-formal education trainers to facilitate a series of training activities supported by the European Commision. These training activities are carried out in the context of the project MEET which also counts with the partnership and participation of the European Youth Forum, AGE Platform Europe and The Assembly of European Regions (AER), among other partners.

You can find more information about the project, the details of the training sessions and the application form link below.

About MEET

With Europe at a crossroads at the end of the Conference on the Future of Europe and in the middle of the implementation of the Green Deal and Digitalisation agenda, active European citizens must be at the forefront. In the period before the upcoming European Elections MEET will offer space for diverse groups of European citizens to bring Europe to local level through a diverse set of activities encouraging continuous activism and interaction with European politicians. MEET will meaningfully contribute by 2024 to a depolarised and less-tense democratic space. This will allow more participation and more respect/understanding of others positions, ultimately helping revive the flagging belief in democracy as a system.

One of the objectives of the project, which this call covers, is to educate the staff and representatives of the partners in the project on how to conduct a non-discriminatory project with vulnerable groups in a blended approach.

The lasting impact of the project would be that young and older participants and their families have an increased feeling of connectedness to each other and the European project, which might lead them to become (more) active European citizens.

About the Brussels training

The objectives of the training in Brussels are as follows:

  • Sensibilisation for partners and activity organisers on working with vulnerable groups
  • Promoting and learning on project-building and cooperation establishment based on inclusive, diverse and equal approaches
  • Set-up guidelines to work with a multicultural, intergenerational and intersectional consortium
  • Between February 16th and 19th in Brussels, trainers are expected to deliver an in person capacity building training which equip staff and representatives of partners on how to design and deliver projects and partnerships with non-discriminatory approaches, based on diversity, equality and inclusion.

These sessions should be designed and prepared in advance. Trainers should ensure that attendees have the opportunity to develop skills on how to listen and engage in different contexts, learn about their unconscious bias and how to actively build coalitions with marginalised and minority groups. The ultimate aim should be for the attendees to be prepared to create projects with non-discriminatory approaches and how to work with vulnerable groups and include them in an active way in their projects and activities.

JEF Europe is looking for 2 senior trainers for this event.

About the online trainings

The objectives of the online trainings remain the same as for the Brussels trainings with the difference of being conducted online and recorded for people to watch them.

The trainers are expected to prepare and record online 3 training sessions which should prepare participants to develop skills and knowledge on how to set-up projects and partnerships which should be inclusive, diverse and equal. Ensure that participants can learn how to develop skills to listen and engage in different contexts, learn about their unconscious bias and how to actively build coalitions with marginalised and minority groups.

The ultimate aim should be for the attendees to be prepared to create projects with non-discriminatory approaches and how to work with vulnerable groups and include them in an active way in their projects and activities.
