Call for JEF Europe Project Management Intern

JEF Europe – Young European Federalists is recruiting a project management intern for the European Secretariat of the organisation in Brussels.
“Y-FED: Europe is what we make of it” project tasks:
- supporting the project officer in the overall implementation of the project
- organising and supporting the execution of project activities
- attending project activities and project related meetings
- supporting one of the core partners of the project in implementing the Model European Federation
- preparation of open calls for positions and participants
- communication tasks connecting with the project implementation (posting updates on social media, writing short informative articles about the project)
- supporting the project officer in administrative and financial tasks connected to the project like collecting financial documents from partners and reporting items for the Executive agency
Other tasks within the office:
- support in logistics and administration in everyday office activities
- support in implementation of JEF Europe Capacity Building Programme
- developing project ideas
- other tasks that might be of interest as a learning opportunity and professional development
Time investment:
Working time of 38 hours per week. Work during weekends may occur whenever necessary with time off in lieu as compensation. Depending on the development of the current COVID-situation and the ability to organise international events, the position may require travels in Europe several times during the internship.
Type of contract and salary:
- Internship contract of 6 months (Convention d’immersion Professionnelle) – Possibility to prolong for 6 more months.
- Approx. 1.000€ net per month
- Monthly ticket for public transport in Brussels + travel reimbursement when travelling for JEF Europe
- Health insurance

Profile
Qualifications:
- Minimum a bachelor degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
- Fluent in English, and a very good command of at least another EU language
- Interest in developing experience in project management in an European NGO
- Interest in developing skills in organising long-term international projects and/or campaigns will be considered an asset
- Interested in developing new project ideas and applications
- Experience in working in with digital education tools and in online activism will be an asset
Professional and technical competencies:
- Knowledge of the Erasmus+ programme and other similar funding programme is an asset
- Very good knowledge of all Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) and collaborative work tools (Skype, Google docs, Slack, Zoom etc.)
