Federalist movement in the Levant: Meet-up in Beit Jala

On the 26/12/2025, in the context of the Federalist Peace Forum (FPF) project, Israeli and Palestinian Federalist Peace activists convened in the town of Beit Jala, Palestine to discuss the continued development of the Federalist movement in the region.

The activists discussed, among other things, joint branding, strategy, international advocacy and political development of the movement.

Guest speakers included senior members of the Federal Forum Umbrella organization, representatives from the Alliance for Middle East peace, and Dvir Aviam Ezra, executive board member of JEF Europe. Moritz Hergl, the president of JEF Europe sent a greeting to the event.

This is the largest scale federalist local event in the region to date with a total of approximately 40 participants (some of whom do not appear in the photo for their safety).

The event also prepared participants for the expected concluding event of the project, funded under the Council of Europe Youth Pilot Project scheme, which is slated to take place in March 2026.
