The New Federalist is seeking two new Editors-in-Chief to manage the editorial team, content and strategy of the webzine for the next 1+1 years.
Joining The New Federalist is an opportunity to co-lead a prestigious publication, which has for more than 15 years been a prominent online youth-led source of information on European Union affairs.
The New Federalist is the English-language edition of the multilingual web magazine whose parent organisation is the Young European Federalists (JEF Europe). The other language editions are French, German, Italian, Spanish, Romanian and Polish. Taken together, articles on the language editions are read over 200,000 times each month.
The New Federalist covers EU politics and European affairs, with a federalist angle!
We are looking for one Senior and one Junior Editor-in-Chief. The mandate is for 12 months, and can be extended by another 12 months upon mutual agreement between JEF Europe and the Editor-in-Chief.
Both positions are voluntary, and require a time commitment of around 10 hours per week.
As an Editor-in-Chief, you will have the chance to develop editorial projects for a pan-European magazine during the 2024 European election period and beyond. Through your work, you will contribute to a European-wide public debate on common European issues.
