Call for Participants: MYCOMM Training Opportunity!

About MYCOMM:

The MYCOMM project aims to build a more inclusive society by empowering and conferring skills to youth organizations working with migrants and refugees. Through communications, audiovisual and advocacy skills training, social networking, and mutual learning, MYCOMM connects organizations at the European level, fostering collective advocacy for a more inclusive future.

Opportunity Highlights:

1-Week Training Opportunity for four youth workers working with refugees and migrants:

When? 12th – 16th of February 2024, arriving in Brussels on the 11th and leaving on the afternoon of the 16th. Six nights of accommodation and sustenance throughout the whole duration of the training will be provided. A travel reimbursement of up to 200 EUR will be offered to the participants. Please note that we can only reimburse your travel expenses if you join at least 90% of the internship.

Where? JEF Europe Office – Brussels, Belgium

What?

  • Shadow work the JEF Europe staff for one week.
  • Have the chance to take part in the COYV Final Conference – this is one of our biggest projects on the European Elections 2024, more info here.
  • Gain hands-on experience in communications, public policy, advocacy skills aimed at European Youth.
  • Immerse yourself in a new cultural and professional experience.
  • Understand the working dynamics of other youth organizations.
  • Connect with like-minded leaders through mutual learning.

Requirements:

  • Be a youth worker involved in the field of migration and/or working with asylum seekers/ migrants and refugees.
  • Open to young people working and engaging in youth organizations, we especially encourage people from migrant and refugee backgrounds to apply for this call
  • You must be a resident of a European Union country
  • Demonstrate motivation while explaining how the internship will contribute to your personal and professional development.
  • Participants must deliver a short report at the end of the training, in order to document and evaluate their experience.
