Call for Applications | Projects and Finance Assistant
JEF Europe – Young European Federalists is recruiting a Projects and Finance Assistant for the European Secretariat of the organisation in Brussels. You will be working with the Project and Finance Officers supporting the daily project management, educational activities, and administrative tasks.
Below you will find the main tasks and essential qualifications and qualities. We still encourage you to apply even if you do not ‘tick’ every box. Please know you will receive training and support once you arrive, so you can adequately handle your work.
Main tasks:
- Support the daily management of European projects (funded by different donors, e.g. the European Parliament, European Commission and the Council of Europe).
- Support the implementation of educational activities and other events of JEF Europe.
- Support tasks of the Secretary General, the projects team and the Finance and Administration Officer of the organisation.
- Support the daily administrative tasks of a European NGO (e.g. official registrations, data and file organisation and upkeep, etc.).
- Supporting the rental of office spaces and other office management-related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Ideally (but not compulsory), completing or having completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Financial Management, International/European Project Management, Accounting, Business, Economics, Sales;
- Ideally (but not compulsory) engagement in (a) youth NGO(s) or other NGO(s) at the national and/or European level.
Language Skills:
- Excellent level of written and spoken English.
- A basic knowledge of French is required.
