Moderator for EurHope: Job Description
Make.org and JEF Europe are launching a large consultation throughout Europe to ask the young Europeans citizens “What are your ideas for working together to build a Europe that can respond to future challenges?”. This consultation will run from May 2023 to September 2023, in 27 European member states and in 20 languages. This means that every European citizen will be able to participate in his or her own language and to interact with citizens all across Europe.
To this ends, Make.org and JEF Europe are looking for moderators for the following languages:
- Romanian
- Dutch
- Greek
- Swedish
- Czech
- Hungarian
- Bulgarian
- Danish
- Finish
- Slovak
- Croatian
- Lithuanian
- Latvian
- Slovenian
- Estonian
The mission for the moderator will be the following:
- validating the citizen proposals in their language according to the Make.org moderation charter
- checking and correcting the spelling of the citizen proposals
- proposals are short text of less than 140 characters (an old time tweet)
- the expected volume is between 200 and 800 proposals, depending on the size of the country
- the proposals can arrive at anytime between May and September, so the moderator will have to connect and process the incoming proposals 3 times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
- the moderator will also have to answer the citizens emails in his/her country (estimated volume, between 10 and 100 mails per country) with the help of some provided templates
This mission is accomplished remotely, all you need is a computer, an internet connection and the ability to bill us (freelance or other type of similar status). You will also need to attend a virtual meeting to get training on how to use the moderation tool, to learn about the moderation charter, and how to communicate with our team.
The mission will be paid between 300€ and 500€ depending on the language and the expected volume (approx 20-30 hours in total).
